Submitted by rick on December 15, 2006 - 11:09amDec.12 (Cricket NSW): NSW ‘A’ has won the 2006/07 Cricket Australia Cup after remaining undefeated throughout the weeklong tournament in Melbourne (December 4-9).
Led by NSW Breakers squad member, Olivia Thornton, NSW ‘A’ scored victories over Victoria, Queensland and the ACT to take the title.
Kate Owen was one of the stand-out performers in the tournament winning the Batting Aggregate Award with 192 runs at an average of 64. She was also named the Player of the Series.
Leonie Coleman and Rene Farrell also impressed during the tournament with both players earning call ups to
